The Ace Instructors

Paul Dreger (President) has been teaching driver's education for 15 years - both on the road and in the classroom. He earned a bachelor of science degree in engineering management from the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado. In addition, he was a pilot in the Air Force flying KC-135 aircraft. Upon returning to Manitowoc, he worked in sales for several years before becoming a police officer with the city of Manitowoc. After a 20 year career with law enforcement, he retired and now specializes only in driver's education with emphasis on the rules of the road and a drive right attitude!


Bob Mattern is orginally from New Jersey and is a die-hard Yankees fan. He was drafted by the New York Yankees as a pitcher out of high school, but chose to attend college. He went to New Mexico and finished his college years in Wisconsin. He taught four months in Scotland and seventeen years at Mishicot High School. Bob is semi-retired now, but substitutes a lot for local school districts. He has been teaching at Ace Driving School for fourteen years. Bob enjoys driving for vacations, gardening and traveling to France, especially with his wife, Kathy, whom he has been with for 30+ years. Kathy is a French teacher at Mishicot High School. The rest of Bob's family consists of a daughter, Stephanie, who lives and works in the Fox River Valley, and Bean, the cat.



Ron Kryzenske has been an instructor at Ace Driving School for the past 2 years. He is a science teacher and a long time Packers, Brewers and Bucks fan. Ron hand his wife Donna, a first grade teacher, have 4 children (Matt, Laura, Cara and Eric) and a dog (Tasha). Ron and Donna love to travel and spend time at their cabin on the lake.

Larry Tollefson enjoys teaching the students the rules of the road. Larry has over 34 years of driving experience and has been a drivers education instructor for over 2 1/2 years. He enjoys photography, cooking and reading books. He also loves playing the keyboard. Larry's motto is, "Safe driving is #1!" He also has a daughter named Kelly.

Lisa Geiger has been instructing students since May of 2005, which she enjoys very much. Lisa is proud to be on the qualified team at Ace. Manitowoc has been Lisa's home all her life. She has an excellent driving record with 25+ years of driving. She is happily married to Keith and also, a mother of three adult children and two adult step-children. Lisa has also just recently become a Grandmother! Through the years, she has enjoyed volunteering her time with young adults which has been very rewarding for her. Lisa has held various jobs at local businesses since graduating from Lincoln High School. She is currently enrolled at LTC where she is pursuing a medical career. Lisa's other interests are golfing, biking, fishing, camping, hiking, crafting and photography.

Paul Augustine has been a driver education instructor for over 2 1/2 years. He has an associate dregree in Mechanical Design from Lakeshore Technical College and a CDL from Fox Valley Technical College. He is a die-hard Packer Fan, enjoys golfing and working outside. He is happy to have the opportunity to teach young people how to drive. Paul and his wife, Marilyn, have two children, Laura and Matt.

Ron Hacker has over 14 years experience as a driver education instructor. His interests include working on antique cars, fishing in small lakes, and enjoys Nascar and drag racing at Wisconsin International Raceway.
